This project includes elements of a design brief, logo creation, and a final presentation of the visual brand identity.
A BOLD NEW LOOK FOR BIRMINGHAM, ON AND OFF THE ICE
BRIEF
This project involves the design and subsequent application of an identity symbol to a system of promotional materials for a semi-professional/professional athletic team. It includes multiple process stages including a design brief, sketches, first and secondary symbols, and a completed identity system.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Birmingham Bulls Hockey Organization and their fans. These are people and families who love their community and the sport of hockey. They live in Pelham, Alabama, and are loyal to the local hockey team. The organization has a difficult time connecting its logo and brand to reflect the teams' talent and current hockey design in the SPHL.
BRAND STORY
The Birmingham Bulls are a professional ice hockey team located in Pelham, Alabama. The team joined the Southern Professional Hockey League in the 2017-2018 season, and have been a part of it ever since.
